It must have been what Mazda was thinking back in 1971 when it introduced to North America its Rotary powered dynamo, the Mazda R100. That same mantra is what led Mazda to develop the Front Mid-Engined, Rear-Wheel Drive, twin-rotor powered, four-door coupe (with freestyle suicide doors), the Mazda RX-8.
