FAQ

Q. How long does it take for me to receive my kit?

Since our carpet kits are made to order for our US customers, the lead time is typically 5-7 business days before the carpet is shipped via UPS (tracking numbers are emailed to you).

Q. What is the warranty/guarantee?

We have a 100% money-back Satisfaction Guarantee and 1 year warranty.  Click here for details.

Q. Does this kit fit both sedan, sport & Mazdaspeed3 models?

All Mazda3’s, sedan, sport, Mazdaspeed3 from 2004 to 2009 share the same floor pan.  Therefore Mazda3carpet.com’s kit will fit all Mazda3’s & Mazdaspeed3’s.

Q. How does the regular grade carpet compare to the factory Mazda carpet?

Mazda3carpet.com’s Premium Carpet Kit is superior in thickness, feel, quality and density compared to the factory issue. Click here for demo

Q.  Is the factory carpet glued to the floor?

No, it is held down by the seat bolts, center console and door sill trim.

Q.  Is this the full carpet kit or just floor mats?

Our Premium Molded Carpet Kit is the entire, full carpet kit that starts from the firewall in the front to under the rear seat.  It doesn’t include the floor mats, which you can purchase separately.

Q.  I live in Canada, do I have to pay and customs duty or additional shipping fees?

There is no additional or surprise shipping costs such as broker fees, duty, etc.  We have seperate shipping locations in Canada and in the continental US.

Q. Where does the carpet ship from?

US orders are manufactured to order and shipped from the US.  Canadian orders are shipped from our warehouse in Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Q.  How much does it cost to install the kit?

The cost can vary from shop to shop, but my initial research with a few local shops in Mississauga, quoted me $170- $200 CDN.

Q. How difficult is this kit to install?

This depends on how capable of a DIYer your are.  I have personally removed my entire interior in about 25 minutes.  But I would estimate that install time for the entire project would be approximately 3-4 hours.  This type of project is something you don’t want to rush.

Q. Does the carpet kit have the factory “driver side mat hook”?

No, but you can reuse the hook from your old carpet.  However, because of the thickness and length of the fibers on our carpet kits the hook is not needed to secure the mats.  Our Kits provide superior grip of your mats (even better grip with our floor mats set)  the vast majority of our customers actually never install the driver side mat hook.

Q.  Are there custom colors available?

Currently we are offering only black online. For custom colour choices contact us for color samples.

Many owners of our carpet kits have reported a reduction in road noise after installing our carpet kits.

Our carpet kits have an under pad that has acoustic insulating properties.

IS there a kit for the 2010 3 yet? Mine is under warranty, but it’ll just be the same crap again, I’d try to swing a deal with the dealership if you have the kit available.

I want to put sound deadening material in my car, will the new carpet still fit? I am worried about the thickness of the carpet + sound deadening material.
    Thanks,
    Anton

Anton, many of our customers have add sound deadening to their cars prior to installing our carpet kits and didn’t face any issues.

Our carpet kit is flexible enough to allow adding sound deadening material and allow routing of wires & cables for your custom stereo install

Hi Dave, the 2010 isn’t available yet. We have had a few delays with production of other models. The 2010 carpet will be the next one we create.

Hi Paul, the carpet fits all 2004-2009 Mazda3 and Mazdaspeed 3 models. The floor stampings are all the same throughout those model years.

    Hi Helen,

Thanks for contacting us. We currently don’t ship out to Australia, but have started working on helping Mazda3 owners in Australia. The one challenge we have is that north American cars are left hand drive instead of right hand drive such as yours.

It’s a big deal tooling wise for us, but the only real difference between both cars is the dead pedal (foot rest next to the clutch pedal). When installing our kit, you will need to apply some heat (using a heat gun or hair dryer) to mold your pedal in our kit and straighten out where the USA dead pedal is located.

Not hard to do, or even a big deal.

But I suggest that you sign up for our mailing list so that you will be notified when they become available.

If you have any other questions let me know.

    Hi B,

all our carpet kits come with a jute under padding that is heat bonded to the carpet. This under padding does provide additional sound deadening over the original Mazda3 carpet.

    Hi David,

When someone orders the carpet kit, is the product shipped directly from the supplier or is it shipped from you?

Hi Cameron, the holes do have to be trimmed. There is a quick and easy way to get the holes cut accurately. I suggest downloading our install guide, as it has detailed directions in it. If you have any questions let me know.

Hi David, we are, but shipping to Australia remains very expensive unfortunately. That is the main reason we haven’t pursued shipping to Australia
